The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS)  has a series of brochures and patient education materials available to the public.  These cover a wide variety of topics including prevention of common Orthopedic problems and available surgical and non-surgical treatments.  

The information includes a multitude of Patient Education Brochures about orthopedic conditions, treatments and surgery.

There is also a series of publications concerning prevention of injuries and decreasing the effects of degenerative conditions.

The AAOS addresses a number of issues concerning current health care issues of importance to our patients and what may be expected in the future.  Patient care and patient rights are important parts of these publications.
