WHAT CAN BRANDON ORTHOPEDIC ASSOCIATES DO FOR YOU?

Orthopedic surgery is a medical specialty that cares for injuries and disorders of the limbs and spine. Brandon Orthopedic Associates also specializes in sports medicine, the prevention and treatment of athleticrelated injuries.

As orthopedic surgeons, we treat

• Broken bones (fractures)
• Injured or worn-out joints (knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, ankle, etc.)
• Hand and foot problems
• Bursitis and arthritis
• Muscle and ligament strains and sprains
• Tendon and nerve injuries

We can treat many of these problems non-surgically with physical therapy, medication, casts, splints, braces, and education. If surgery is needed, we are trained in the latest techniques that minimize recovery time while maximizing the restoration of function.

Arthroscopic or microsurgery uses a lighted video telescope and miniature instruments to repair damaged cartilage and ligaments in the knee, shoulder, wrist, ankle and other joints.

Endoscopic or mini-incision carpal tunnel release can be a significant improvement over the open-incision technique to relieve the pain and loss of function associated with carpal tunnel syndrome. Patients have very little discomfort and can resume activities very soon after this outpatient procedure.
